How do I create a transfer catalog?

Enable a location to be ordered from by other locations and define what ingredients and recipes can be ordered.

In Galley, locations can order ingredients and recipes from one another through Transfer Orders. For one location (the destination of the transferred goods) to order from another location (the source of the transferred goods), the source must be configured as a transfer location.

If you do not have transfer orders enabled in your account and would like to see if they are right for you, contact your Galley Customer Success Manager

Activate Transfer Location

For a location to be orderable from, it must be enabled as a transfer location. To do this, navigate to the Locations catalog page and select the location that should be a transfer location. When on the location's detail page, open the Transfers tab. Finally, click Activate to enable the location as a transfer location.

Configure Destination Locations

Once a location has been activated as a transfer location, you can configure which locations can order from it. To do so, associate the location with possible transfer destinations either through direct assignments or location groups.

Configure Transfer Catalog

A location's transfer catalog dictates what recipes and ingredients can be ordered from it. The transfer catalog can be found at the bottom of the Transfers tab. If no items have been explicitly added to a location's transfer catalog, all recipes and ingredients are orderable from it. To add items to a transfer catalog, click the + next to the Items header or + Add Items in the table.

Deactivate a Transfer Location

If you want to prevent other locations from ordering from a specific location, you can deactivate its status as a transfer location. To do so, click the Actions dropdown followed by Deactivate transfer capabilities.
