Best practices for storage location categories.

Tags can be very useful when taking cycle counts in Galley. They can be used to group items in cycle counts and to easily keep cycle count templates updated. You will first need to create your categories. This can either be done from the Categories catalog page or directly on the page of an ingredient or recipe. If you will be counting both ingredients and recipes you should create an ingredient category and a recipe category with the same name. Additionally, if you have multiple locations, you should create a separate category for each location.

Once this category is created, add each of the storage locations within the given location for which you created the tag.

Once all category values have been added, you are ready to tag your items. This can be done from either the item's detail page by clicking Show then Add Tag, or in bulk from the appropriate catalog page.
