      How to export templates from the Menu Planner

      This article shows how to export templates from a Menu Plan, Cycle or Event

      Permissions needed
      Users will need View Reports permission to be able to export Templates
       
      Options to export a Template
      Users can either:
      • Run a local file by exporting a Local Template
      • Download a template from the bank
      Types of Templates
      There are 3 options for templates in the Menu Planner
      • Cycle Templates run from one or more Menu Cycle's data
      • Plan Templates run from one or more Menu Plan's data
      • Event Templates run from one or more Menu Plan Event's data, across multiple Plans, if needed
      Exporting a template from a catalog page
      1. From the catalog pages, select one or more of the item you'd like to run the template for (Cycle, Plan or Event)
      2. Click on Reports
      3. For exporting a file as a Local Template, click on the option to Export Local Template
      4. For templates in the Bank, the name of the template will show up, with a sub-option to export PDF or DOCX
        1. Plan Templates will show in the Plans page
        2. Cycle Templates will show in the Cycles page
        3. Event Templates will show in the Events page

        Exporting a Plan Template from a Plan page
        1. In a Plan page, week or day view, click on the arrow next to the Plan's name
        2. For a Local Template, click on Export Local Template
        3. For templates in the Bank, the name of the template will show up, with a sub-option to export PDF or DOCX

         

        Exporting a Cycle Template from a Cycle page
        1. In a Cycle page, week or day view, click on the arrow next to the Cycle's name
        2. For a Local Template, click on Export Local Template
        3. For templates in the Bank, the name of the template will show up, with a sub-option to export PDF or DOCX

         

         

        Exporting an Event Template from a Plan page
        1. In a Plan page, week or day view, select one or more Events
        2. Click on the action Reports in the bulk action bar
        3. For a Local Template, click on Export Local Template
        4. For templates in the Bank, the name of the template will show up, with a sub-option to export PDF or DOCX

        Creating a new Template (Galley internal only)

        When creating a new Template in the bank, pick:
        • MENU_PLANNER_CYCLES for Cycle Templates
          • MENU_PLANNER_CYCLES templates will send a list of CycleIds to the template
        • MENU_PLANNER_PLANS for Plan Templates
          • MENU_PLANNER_PLANS templates will send a list of PlanIds to the template
        • MENU_PLANNER_EVENTS for Event Templates
          • MENU_PLANNER_EVENTS templates will send a list of PlanIds and EventIds to the template
