What are Recipe Analysis Tokens?

In free Galley accounts, costs and nutritional values can be viewed for a limited number of recipes. Which recipes can be viewed is determined with Recipes Analysis Tokens. To view the cost and nutritional values of a recipe, that recipe and all of its sub-recipes must have a recipe analysis token applied. If a recipe with a token is edited, the cost and nutritional values of that recipe will be automatically recalculated without using more tokens. If the appropriate tokens have not been applied, the costs related to that recipe will be hidden and the nutrition data will be inaccessible.

How do I apply tokens to recipes?

If you would like to view the cost or nutritional values of a recipe that does not yet have a token applied, go to that recipe's page, hover over one of the hidden costs, and select Reveal.

If a recipe has sub-recipes that also do not have a token applied, a token will need to be applied to each of the sub-recipes as well. Clicking Reveal will apply a token to the parent recipe and each of the sub-recipes. The total number of tokens that will be applied can be seen in the Analysis Token help message.

How do I know how many tokens I have left?

You can view how many Recipe Analysis Tokens you have left using the badge the appears at the top right of every screen.

What if I run out of Recipe Analysis Tokens?

If you don't have additional Recipe Analysis Tokens you will not be able to reveal the costs and nutritional values of additional recipes.

From here, you have a few options:

  1. Upgrade to a paid Galley account: The costs and nutritional values can be seen for all recipes in paid Galley accounts. If you'd like to upgrade to a paid version, open our Billing Page and select the plan that best fits you.
  2. Update recipes with tokens: If you update a recipe that already has a token applied, the cost and nutritional values of that recipe will be recalculated without using additional tokens.
  3. Delete recipes with tokens: If you delete a recipe that has a token applied, that token will become available and can be re-applied to a different recipe.
