Product Release Note - Refreshed Color Scheme for Menu Plans

Clearer visual cues for draft, approved, unapproved, and selected events

We've updated the color palette in the Menu Plan week view so you can tell at a glance whether an event is in draft, approved, unapproved, or selected. Each state now has its own distinct color, status badge, and icon treatment, making it easier to scan your plan and know exactly where things stand.

Menu Plan week view showing all event color states: Draft, Draft Selected, Approved, Approved Selected, Unapproved, and Unapproved Selected

Draft events: soft and neutral

Events still in draft use a subtle light green background, keeping them visible without competing with other states.

Approved events: Galley green with badge

Approved events now carry Galley's signature dark green header and a green "Approved" badge, giving you a confident signal that the event is locked in.

Unapproved events: orange icon and badge

Unapproved events share the same background as drafts, but are easy to spot thanks to an orange status icon and an "Unapproved" badge on the card header.

Selected state: warm amber overlay

Clicking any event now highlights it in a distinct pumpkin/amber tone that layers on top of the base state, so there's no confusion about which event you're working on, regardless of whether it's draft, approved, or unapproved.

Updated status icons and badges

Event card icons now change color to match their state, and new status badges ("Approved" / "Unapproved") appear directly on each card header for quick recognition.

Quick tip: No action required on your end. The new colors are already live the next time you open a Menu Plan in week view.
