Product Release Note - Copy & Paste Across Tabs

Your Menu Planner clipboard now works across browser tabs. Copy or cut items in one tab and paste them into a completely different plan or cycle in another—no duplicate entry, no switching back and forth to remember what you picked.

Clipboard syncs between tabs

Copy or cut items in one tab, then open (or switch to) another tab with a different plan or cycle. The paste zone appears automatically with the items you just copied—ready to drop in.

Works in Plans and Cycles

Copy from a Menu Plan and paste into a Menu Cycle, or the other way around. Cross-tab paste works in any combination—plan to plan, cycle to cycle, or between the two.

Same shortcuts, same flow

Use the same Ctrl+C, Ctrl+X, and Ctrl+V shortcuts you already know. The paste zone, confirm step, and multi-target selection all work exactly the same whether you’re pasting within a tab or across tabs.

Quick tip: Copied items stay on your clipboard for 30 minutes, so you have plenty of time to switch tabs, find the right day, and paste. After 30 minutes the clipboard clears itself automatically.

Permissions: Requires Create Menu Plan Event Item to paste and Delete Menu Plan Event Item to cut. Your existing Menu Planner permissions apply—no changes needed.
